So I have heard that there are a lot of problems and shit with the phone but i really want to go buy one like right now but dont want to end up being screwed if a newer version comes out in like 2 weeks
supposedly if get a bumper case it fixes the antenna so apple will give you one for free i have one but have not gotten a case yet its a pretty good phone but there are alot better phones out there
dad has one and loves it, hasn't found any problems with it. the only problem that many people are having is reception issues, but less than 5% of all users have that problem. but if you get a case for it, you won't have antenna problems, and im pretty sure you get a free case for buying the phone. i'm hopefully getting one when the white one comes out
dude go for it, its an awesome phone. What people dont realize is that the reception issue is an issue with every phone, its just relatively easy to replicate it on the iPhone 4, but not in everyday use. If you hold your phone like a normal person you should be fine
This. Also, its not apple's style to release updates in quick succession. It will be a while before the next one comes out, and if it was going to be anytime soon, you would definitely know about it. It ends up in the news.
ok now that that is out of the way, let me explain to you a few things you do not seem to understand.
The only real issue with the iphone 4 is the antennagate problem, which isnt a problem. I dont know a single person who has lost service due to it in day to day use, only when they try it. This is also solved by using a case, which apple is now giving away FOR FREE. that is the only issue, if you want more details, watch the recent press conference on the apple site.
there is no reason not to get one, the iphone 4 is the highest rated smart phone on the market right now, and chances are will be till next summer.
My phone died yesterday out in in the woods during an exercise, so I borrowed an iPhone 4 the whole day. Didn't have any issues with reception after about 50 calls in the forest, and I couldn't even figure out how to do that whole antenna thing when I tried. I don't see what all the hoopla is about, it was a really nice phone. I also read some crazy statistic that said like 80% of iPhone users are satisfied with their service compared to like 20% of Droid users. Seems like a good choice to me, and it was sick having it double as an iPod on such a long day!
mines fucking awesome. i have NOT HAD ONE PROBLEM at all. its such and epic phone, it gets the job done and then some. i get good reception everywhere except where ive never gotten it.
ive got one too and love the damn thing. got a zagg skin for it to keep my screen nice..itd still like to get an otterbox even tho i just ordered my free case. for current iphone 4 folders you can download an app and scroll through like 6 options for a free case.
I saw paper in AJS (American Journal of Statistics) a few years ago that just focused on large-city newspapers, and they estimated that it was between 40 and 55 percent, but as I recall their margin of error was something like 12 percent. They also rated the papers for their factualness, and as I recall, The New York Times was by far the most accurate, and I hope I'm remembering this correctly, but I think the Sacramento Bee was at the bottom.
There had also been some work in this area by the excellent, but now defunct, media-watchdog magazine Brill's Content, but I don't recall any specifics.
Unfortunately, that's the only research I recall that was based on actual data rather than just someone's guess / opinion.
Its so slick, i dropped mine on my drive way and took a 10 ft skid, not a mark on it! very durable, and the camera quality is great! but Imovie for Iphone is lacking, its really hard to edit and sometimes it'll do things you dont want. Otherwise i'd say its deffinatly worth $200 with the plan. Go for it, and get a free bumper(takes 3-5 weeks for shipping)
go look at the new apple board meeting or whatever. If you bring it down to statistics the iphone 4 is actually better than the iphone 3 which was the best smart phone ever released.
