Motion Graphics Titles

I need to step up my game with some cool looking titles. Whats the best program and easiest to learn for macs? Ive got livetype but i feel theres probably better.

for text animation livetype is hard to beat. Just keep playing with it, adjusting the timing. then import that into ae or even fcp to fancy it up.

this, but don't look down upon livetype. If you take the time to learn it in and out you can create some really great stuff. I created my own custom lightening effect with it and bunch of other things. Just play around and get creative man, there's a lot of possibilities if you look beyond the standard.

After Effects is an amazing software for titles IMO. There are tons of tutorials out there (ae.tutsplus.com, videocopilot.net, greyscalegorilla.com), and many of them will get you working with other softwares such as cinema 4d, maya, or 3ds max (various 3d software).

I would definitely start with after effects, use the many available tutorials to learn the ins and outs of the software and then try and get creative and come up with your own stuff.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions about AE or cinema 4d (started learning it recently).
