A good friend of mine, Brandon Maitland died in a car accident yesterday. He lived in Calgary and was my brothers roommate for a year when they were in a program together in Massachussetts. One of the funniest kids I've ever known, and I'm really upset to see him go.

car accidents are the suck, being in em sucks, hearing about people being in them sucks, and losing someone in them sucks. As much as I hate to go see someone on their deathbed in the hospital, at least you get to look them in the eyes and say goodbye. Imagine bleeding out/in stuck in a fuckin wreck surrounded by strangers.

I guess there was a guy there with my bro when he passed but we never contacted him. Best we could gather from the police report was that he was pretty incoherent in his last few minutes anyway.

Wear your seatbelts kiddies, life ain't like the movies. Bam your done.


Best of luck to you and your bro and more importantly his family in what is surely the hardest of times.
