I'm in the market for a new helmet for longboarding, since i just got into it this summer. towards the end of last winter, i was thinking how i needed to get one for skiing too. Do people ever use one helmet for both? or am i crazy for even thinking this up to save some dough?
Poc receptor bug is built specifically to be able to do bmx and skiing so im sure that would work. You take out the ear pads and the vent covers and viola whole new helmet.
Yea positive i use mine in the summer to mountain bike so yea that is there way to nickel and dime you lol. But yes i am positive the receptor bug works both ways, i haven't had a problem using it either way.
On the inside of the helmet just take out the liner, but make sure you know how it goes back. Once all of the foam is out you will see like a big one piece rubberish black thing lol thats the best way i can describe it. Anyway you just pull that out and your vents will be open.
i think it the receptor plus helmet that is for multiple sports that what the website says http://www2.pocsports.com/products/showproduct.asp?category=10-Bike&id=10220 my link button wont work
same with most giro (especially the encore since they make a bmx helmet in the exact same style)
also similar with bern helmets. just dont get a hardhat.
