Cheerleading sport or not? The decision is in.

Conn. judge ruled on the case about whether or not cheerleading is a sport or not. Just wanted to share that its officially not a sport now. Dumb bitches thinking cheerleading is a sport.

Cheerleading is cheerleading. Squads are pumping the crowd up at games 95% (making this up) of the time, but I could say that when they compete against each other, it takes on a more sporty feel.

If bowling, golf, and curling are considered a sport (yeah, I get it ... hand-eye coordination and all that shit), cheerleading most definitely is a sport. At least it's something that requires you to actually been in top physical condition along with superb flexibility.

well if ballet, and any other forms of dancing are not sports, then neither is cheerleading. case closed.

What about a construction worker? He must be in top physical shape and have a good hand-eye coordination to do the job. Construction isn't a sport even if it requires these skills.

this is retarded, I have cousins that do cheer competitions that use more effort, flexibility, skill and determination than 90% of the people on this site


how the hell could it not be a sport? they do friggin standing backflips, roundoffs, all sorts of gymnastics stuff

its like any kind of dance mixed with gymnastics, and way gnarly. they have so many broken bones that half the "thugs" on this site would cry from if they got them while afterbanging their 270 out's.

yeah honestly, all joking aside, i dont see how you could claim its not a sport. its athletic, you have to practice it, there's a huge team aspect.. and dont tell me it's "stupid," every sport out there is fucking stupid as hell. this coming from someone who loves sports

A lot of cheerleaders are super talented gymnasts.  A lot of cheerleaders are far from being an athlete, unless you consider dick sucking and sex sports.  Sucks for the true athletes.  They do some crazy stunts for sure.

the technical definition of a sport is an activity for which points or places are awarded to competing parties, AND which requires physical OR mental exertion.
therefore,
ballroom dancing, cheerleading, chess, golf, etc. can all be considered sports, whereas skiing, if done for fun, would not be considered a sport.

but I guess if a judge says it's not a sport then it can't be considered one by law.
