Serial Number to Uninstall?

So about a year ago I downloaded adobe premiere pro 1.5 tryout and soon after deleted it, since I found no need for it.
I am now trying too free up space on my computer and it is a pretty big file. I go to uninstall it asks for a serial number.
Why would I need a serial number to uninstall a program that was a 'tryout' and therefore required no serial number.
So, I either need tips on how to get rid of it, or some place where I can get a serial number, so I can get this file off my computer.
Thanks in advance for help

I'm pretty sure many of you are going to say, "you downloaded from a shitty place and have a virus", but if I recall correctly, I downloaded the program straight off of Adobe's site.

K well now this is fucked.
I googled a whole bunch and decided to download an uninstaller program. I deleted everything associated with the program and they are nowhere to be found on my computer
BUT, none of the 29GB it took up is gone.
This is soo frustrating.

Haha, I'm not that dumb. I empty the recycle bin very frequently, and it is not in program files any longer
It's nowhere to be found.

Well, then, I suppose you'll need to...
wait, did you say you just went into program files and deleted it instead of properly uninstalling? in the case of some programs that fucks you up real good, because they leave traces of themselves that can't just be deleted conventionally.
YOU DONE MESSED UP GOOD!!

Well I used an uninstallation program delete, because google had said this would work.
I don't even think it is possible to just delete things in program files.

It actually is, and it works OK for some programs, provided you also delete any other files they created. Some programs however have hidden elements which cannot be deleted- by you, or a deletion program from google. The require the uninstaller that came packaged with the program.
One idea is to download and install the whole thing again, and if all works according to logic, it should install to the same directory. It might realize there are files already there and replace them- or it might just take up another 27 gigs on your HDD.
How big is your hard drive?

It would be great if I could use the uninstaller that is packaged with the program, but seeing that I only downloaded the free trial, I do not have this.
My harddrive is 180GB, but I only have about 8 left, so downloading the program all over again isn't really an option.

well if that's the case, I've got nothing.
Sorry man, but you might have to get a new hard drive. Or, buy a 500 gig backup drive for like $70 at costco and put your less used stuff on there.

if you are, download grandperspective. it creates a map of your hard drive so you can see/delete shit easily

I already have an external harddrive that I have all my video on. I guess the next step is deleting more of my music that I don't listen to so frequently.
And no, I'm on a pc.
Thanks anyways

i dont know much about anything other than macs, but check every location on the computer where there were files, under application preferences, etc. also shutting off the computer and leaving it alone for a couple minutes before you start it again could do the trick.
