Life in a Day

Youtube/Google are getting thousands of people over the world to film a day of thier life on july 24 and have it all submitted in a channel on youtube, best ones are used in a film. I was thinking it would be a great way to expose the skiing industry to the world as well as a great marketing techniques for the summer camps or even professional riders.

Want to take part? Here’s what to do.

1. Visit the “Life in a Day” channel and learn more about the project. Be sure to read through the steps you need to take to participate and the guidelines for creating your video(s). Also check out some of the sample videos for inspirational ideas.

2. On July 24, capture your day on camera.

3. Upload your footage to the “Life in a Day” channel any time before July 31.

Regardless of whether your footage makes it into the final film, your video(s) will live on on the “Life in a Day” channel as a time capsule that will tell future generations what it was like to be alive on July 24, 2010.

thats a really cool idea... i think im gunna go for it... im gunna be at my lake so no skiing in it =/

hopefully someone does some thing with skiing... i'd be cool

good idea.
i should probably be working at ski school, but i dont really have to, in which case i could drop some ski footage into it form the southern hemisphere.

I was thinking of a pro doing this, or for marketing means a day in the life of a filmer at a summer camp, filming the skiing, biking, and ofther activities of the whole camp or a specific group or single person, including interviews etc.

just wondering...how are they gonna know that ppl filmed everything exclusively on the 24th? if someone actually wants to make a really sick edit i could see them using a few days to film different aspects and having more time to edit...

Though I see where you are going with this because it would allow for more quality videos. Wouldn't it kind of defeat the purpose of a "life in a day" video though when you take multiple days to film it. I'm just saying.

^That's my point, haha. But I feel like people would still do that to make a quality video to perhaps have a better opportunity to be a part of the film.
