i could use my moms sewing machine to sew up sweatshirts and some t shirts but there is someone in my town selling a brand new serger for 125? which would be better

Buying the sewing maching represents materialism and spending money because you have money to spend.

Using your mother's represents being frugal, non-egotistical, and living below your means








spend it on fabric.

dude trust me im not just spending money to spend it. i have PLENTY im wondering which is going to make life easier and make my sweatshirts and t shirts hold together stronger

are you people brain dead?

if you don't have a serger, sewing knits with with a reg stitch machine is hard, and the finish is unprofessional and less sturdy, more likely to rip when just tugged. if the machine is in great order, buy it. it's a deal(well depending on the model,do some research)

its actually brand new with an instructional dvd.. the guy said he bought it but just never got to use it

depends on the serger but i bought one for 200 a year ago and never looked back you will wonder why you ever used a sewing machine to make hoodies. check out my pics to see what kind of quality a serger produces. plus if the serger is good 125 is a steal they are normally over 500 for a good one
