So its my 16th birthday tomorrow and im kinda nervous about getting my permit for driving anyone have any tips on studying for it.
Any help appreciated

i didn't study and i came one question away from failing. it's all your call, if you think you know how to drive then don't study, if you don't know how to drive then study

honestly the test is 99% common sense / not being a dumb ass.

I feel so lucky to live in NH. The "permit" was when I was 15.5, that was it. I could drive that day with my parent in the car. The only thing you have to take a test for in NH is your DL

yea im from CT and the driving restrictions are pretty harsh, once you get your actuall license you have a curfew f 11:00 until you are 18

I didn't really study and I only missed one question. The one that got me was about how far behind an ambulance you have to drive, and it was like 500 feet or something and i said 350.

we have that in WA too, also, we cant have a pasenger for 6 months either haha

i did get my permit when i was 15 tho...

Ok so I live in Ohio and got my permit when I was 15 and 1/2. I literally did not even look at or buy the book you are supposed to study from and aced the test 1st try. They are really easy/ common knowledge questions so you have nothing to worry about.

p.s. I waited till I was 18 to get my license and my permit expired so I had to retake the permit test. 2 and 1/2 years later I still aced the test no problem without studying, I just walked into the place, they told me I need to take the test again, and I winged it. You'll be fine

U guys are so lucky here in Quebec u can only do the examm when your 16... and from the day u get ur license to drive with ur parents u have to wait 14 months before doing the exam to drive alone.. Theoretic driving courses are required and so are courses with the teacher in the car are required.. all the courses together add up to 1000$ to get ur licence... it sucks

no for alot of states in the east you cant get your permit until your 16th birthday

and for the op just study fines and its way easier than you think i one of my question was what color is a stop sign. its not that hard

those tests are so easy.  they show you 4 shapes and ask which one is the shape of a stop sign and stuff like that.  unless they made it harder now

its easy as fuck. if youre really that nervous though your DMV site should have a practice test on it. take it till you get 100% a few times.

read the book
if you fail your first test, take it again right after, sit in a different chair.
i did that, barely failed first one, raped the second-got them all right

there are like 3 tests or something, 1 hard 2 easy (relatively)

use the skip a question utility, you can always come back

they must assume inbred potato farmers will be the predominate group taking this test and that question suffices when trying to weed out the real dumb ones

MA is permit 16-license 16 1/2
no driving after 12 30 or before like 5 30 or something

Driving is nothing more than common sense. If you don't possess common sense, you have a reason to be nervous for the test.

But hey, I live in NH so I only ever had to take my DL test lol

knowing what a yield sign should look like is not common sense

is it something most people probably know? probably, but that does not mean if you don't know what it looks like off the bat then you should not be allowed on the road. obviously whatever you did in hick-town NH did not require any type of intelligence because you possess none
