we set up enough stuff last year where the competitive kids could battle it out, and anyone else could still enjoy themselves on other features.
i didnt hear one complaint about the 10 dollars, which helped out termendously with working with the city.
this year we'll space the features out more to allow for more waiting / climbing room on hte bank.
any other requests we should try to make happen?
i'm taking requests now.....
something tech, a few super easy features for teh little ones, a couple of straight forward flat bars and...........................
got to remember, i've only got a 18 foot long trailor...
the S-rail is welded together now, so its 40 feet... not gonna happen.
Rainbow box fits, we brought that to Lyman one time.
lets discuss jumps somemore....
scaffold on top of the cooks park hill, so you get the drop in, plus hill.....speed wouldnt be an issue, building a booter wouldnt be bad, but how would you get a landing... unless we side hilled the in run and did a poor mans re-entry jump?
remember that hill accross the field... off the back of the first base line... i think there was a nicer hill set p there... down mellow then steep... could work...
big red is 24 feet long and built stronger than a lot of kids cars... we couldnt phyisically pick it up with out a snow cat. c-box maybe, but its 20 feet long... maybe i;'ll drive it up in the middle of the night....
flat down flat box is 24 foot long.....
i'll try to get some metal from the snow makers and make a few custom things....
but back to jumps... so drop in where? by the guard rail at the top of the hill...and then go side ways toward home plate, like how that truck drove up there last year? and then make a left hand hip style kickers?
i like steeper kinks... manly... but then again, i'm old and not really focused on switch ups and whatever... just making it to the end is sweet.
but, i should build some more mellow things... we'll probably end up with a lot of 20 foot straight bars, single barrel, double barrel, maybe foot wide boxes... i gotta hook up the intermediate kids more.
