Replying to Official NS Hockey Pool - Rules and Info
It's pretty much as stated before. All are welcome, and first prize is bragging rights.
Rules:
15 forwards + 10 defensemen + 1 goalie per conference
goals = 1 point each
assists = 1 point each
galie win = 1 point each
goalie shut-out = 3 points + 1 point for goalie win
You much group forwards into 5 lines of 3 and defensemen into 5 pairings. Keep in mind you are doing this for each conference.
Lines/pairings must be made up of players on different NHL teams (but obviously in the same conference). Your lines will remain in tact throughout the tournament.
Only players you chose to 'play' can earn you points.
Benched players will remain benched till the end of the round. NO EXCEPTIONS!
I must know your lines which are playing/benched before the first puck drop in each round. (Since it's such short notice, I will accept entries for the first round until Friday April 9th, 7pm - this is before the first puck drop of game 2).
You will play your team as follows:
* Round 1 + 2 - 2 forward lines + 2 defensive pairings from each conference playing; 3 forward lines + 3 defensive pairings benched
* Round 3 - 3 forward lines + 3 defensive pairings from each conference playing; 2 forward lines + 2 defensive pairings benched
* Round 4 - 4 forward lines + 4 defensive pairings from each conference playing; 1 forward line + 1 defensive pairing benched

Important
Remember that your lines and players can't have players from the same NHL team. Please get this right. If you make a mistake, that line will not count.
I hope you all join the pool. The more people we have the more fun it will be. Good luck to all.
