GoPro custom cage

This is my design for a custom cage for the GoPro HD allowing it to be held like a traditional camera. I hope to actually build a prototype soon and I would like to sell them eventually and I just wanted some feedback from the masses. If anyone has any feedback or suggestions please let me know. interesting. i would not buy one cause i can use the handlebar mount for the pole

why?

the gopro is a wideangle helmetcam, i don't see what the advantage is of this design ?

its just very bulky, and if you bring up the stability argument; there are better solutions; you can easily make some sot of steady cam with those dimensions ...

i dont think the cage is really necessary and if it will even help you achieve better footage

a smaller simple handle might be a little more beneficial to the masses

the handlebar mount is quite excellent actually....

sorry i don't have a better picture, but this wil explain enough...

as you can see, you have the ring that goes around the handlebars and then you have a large screw sticking out towards the back.

if you flip the camera itself, 180° around and remove the mount from your pole or steering weel, you can hold the mount in your hand and put your right indexfinger on top of that screw like a triggerfinger, so you hold the arm+ mount like a gungrip and the camera on top; this is a very usefull grip, even with gloves it works excellent; and if you want faceshots, you can flip the cam around :)
