Issues with 1242

Of the people who own the DVD, do any of you notice that one of the cameras they use seems busted? The reason I ask is because on mine, there are numerous shots throughout the video where the image on the screen shakes. For Example...the section where one of the guys (forgive me if I don't know the riders by heart) does the superman of the jump with a sled. Other examples would be the intro to Kristi's section, and the one where the photographer is explaining how he 'didn't get the shot'.

It seems to be more of a camera issue rather than an editing issue. I don't know though. Do any of you notice the shakey screen or is it just my copy?

the shakiness is probly just from a handheld camera by anonther skier...I personally didnt notice anything unusual in 1242 i thought it excellent camerawork most of the time

It's not that the person who was doing the filming had a little shakey-hand-syndrome going. I know what that looks like....I've seen enough home videos.

I guess a better way to describe it is that the screen tends to flicker during the shot. More of a production problem than a filming problem. Doesn't this happen to anyone elses copy?

didnt see it on mine

it could be a bad burn, it could be your composite cables in your tv is loose (the yellow one), it could be a number of thigns

just call poor boyz, im sure they will set you up with a replacement if it really is broken

sounds like you just seeing the interlacing on shots shot on a video camera.

i have it and it might be on mine but it wasn't bad enough for me to notice it so i think you just need to relax

The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

could be your using a progressive scan dvd player, and the digital footage shot in 60i makes it look bad

either that or the guy filming hadnt had his fix in a day or two.

the 1242 dvd i got sucked it was all scratched and wont play in my portable dvd player...so i just watch it on my lap top.....

I have seen a jogger with one, i was high when i saw him and for the first couple of seconds i thought he was really a fucking alien(on the oakley medusa hats)

i had issues with 1242 too i didnt like how seth morrisons footage was sooo old and short and the part with chris o connel was pretty gay
