I need a new computer

Looking to spend around 6-700

Wanna be able to play the Old Republic when it comes out, surf the internet and do some simple video editing.


Any help is greatly appreciated guys. I literally know nothing about computers.

Well, you can't get a good laptop. Or a mac that isn't a few years old. So your only option is a desktop PC. So I'd suggest going on to Craigslist and Ebay for your area and just looking around for what you need / want.

Get a alienware m11x. i have one pimped out to the max so it cost like 1600. but you can get a basic plain for 799.

It fucking rapes. I can play Bad Company 2 online no lag and Crysis Max Settings no lag. NO biggie!

Well, I might budget for something a bit more awesome. I just said 700 as an arbitrary number, though I would be really uncomfortable spending more than say 1200.

best site is: www.newegg.com they have the best deals and it is not overprice. shipping is freakin fast and no taxes.:)  

just bought mine 1500$ and i can play every game to max(battlefield bad company2, crysis, etc....) and for editing it is freaking fast !!!!!!!

so for 700$ i think you can build something really good!!!!!!!

The reason why I have a mac is because the amount of porn I view got me too many viruses on my pc

If you view a lot of porn (as in about 2-3 hours a day like me) then you need a mac, or a pc with the best virus protection (unless you pay for your porn which is just stupid)
