So for the past year I've been wanting a cam used specifically for making edits aswell as short films. After recieving my last paycheck and doing a fair bit of research, I've decided now is the time to finally buy one. I've narrowed it down to two options: A traditional camcorder being the canon hf s200, or go with an HDSLR like the T2i. I initially was thinking the T2i because I also enjoy photography, but I'm not quite sure if I have the money or knowledge to get a setup that will function aswell a traditionaly cam. I know how to use DSLR don't get me wrong, Im just not quite sure what I specifically need. Currently my price range is anything less then $1000
My question is what will be a better purchase in the long run? Any other suggestions?
