exactly, i do not want mexicans bringing their culture here. every town or part of town ive ever been to in the US that has a mostly hispanic population has turned to complete shit. if someone can show me a case where they have a good impact then i might think a little differently.

were it not for mexicans bringing their culture here, our country would be lacking in one of my major food groups. I think this impact alone justifies that mexican americans can bring something wonderful to their community!

I think most interesting to me is Americas ability to point all the blame at the immigrants, and none at their American full-fledged citizen neighbors. The fact of the matter is these people need jobs, and its legal American folks that provide them. Yet when was the last time you heard someone say "we need to punish American businesses for hiring illegal immigrants!" Of course not, its much easier to just blame the foreigners.

I got lucky, my dads moved to Canada from Switzerland 30 years ago so I got duel citizenship. My moms side of the family is entirely Japanese so I kinda want to try and apply for a Japanese citizenship.

Mexican culture is alright by me. Mexico is one of the funnest places I have ever been. The first bet I ever won was at a chicken fight in the heart of Guadalajara and it was cool as hell. I used to work at a laundromat where our customers were easily 90% hispanic and they were the best customers. Fuck, I've gotten more hate from Canadians than I ever have from Mexicans. In fact in most cases Mexicans go out of their way to hook you up when you actually get to know them.

However, the illegal arrest and torture is no good. That's pretty scary actually as I've spent a lot of time in bad parts of Mexico due to the drug war and been worried for my safety several times so lucky nothing has happened.

Still worry for the future of you NS children, though.

im from schenectady and illegal immigrants are the least of my concerns..what about the people that are here legally? theyre just as problematic.

i can think of 3+ people from schenectady high that got killed in the past few months in a city with a population of only 65,000..

the south is a different story though.

I don't think you understand why this situation happened. The police are looking for a bride. Thats how it goes in Mexico, they can arrest you on the spot no matter what. The police in Mexico are a gringo's worst enemy. Down there it's give them money or go to jail. In the case of this story it looks like those two guys just didn't have enough money to deal with the cops.

I suspect they will be free as soon as they can come up with enough money, which they probably don't have because if they did then they would be free already.

Thread reminded me of a story in ridebmx maybe in like 04? IF anyone ever subscribed to that mag.

I think martinez and some other people were on that trip. Basically they hit a rebel checkpoint and got kidnapped and held hostage. Legit place where people were being tortured and shit. IT took red bull a few days to come up with the ransom money and get them out.

Some of the most incredible biodiversity exists in Mexico and Mexico has more hotspots than any other country I believe.

I've also met the most accepting, warm, welcoming, interesting, driven and beautiful people in Mexico. Can't say that about the U.S.

i can say with confidence that you've never worked a job that ever came close to any of those. your last example, i've worked for a year before landing another job. i also grew up with hard labor being the family business- excavation. you have no experience in doing a job that was physically demanding or even had to do a job you absolutely hated because you had to. get off your high horse and stop pretending that you know what you're talking about because of a few trips down to mexico. working 16 hour days in fields is what AGRICULTURE is. i mean do you know anyone whose even lived as a farmer? that's normal life for them, you sheltered little girl. i think the problem with you is that those jobs you think the illegal immigrants are taking are jobs that YOU would never want to do. stop trying to speak for everyone else because you're generalizing as bad as the flag-waving lunatics who think every illegal immigrant is a drug dealing, lazy mexican. you're a cool girl but you're coming off as an IDIOT right now that's never worked a general labor job in her life.

I have no problem with immigration. But they need to do it legally and be able to contribute something to the USA other than being able to mow lawns, clean toilets and have babies.

The problem with the illegal immigration is two thirds of them never finished high school. They can not contribute anything more than our own teens can contribute. What they are doing is taking jobs our teens use to do but doing it for less money. That is one reason our teens have a 30-40% unemployment rate. They can not get part time jobs as their first jobs because the illegals have taken those jobs as full time jobs. Go into any fast food place and listen. I bet you hear Spanish being spoken in the back room.
