Just got back a few hours ago. Most rediculous time ever. I saw the best and worst of Thailand, no question. It was a short 10 day trip with 15 family members. This will be a novel of a thread but If you want to go to Thailand read this maybe find out what you want to do... If you've been Im interested in finding out what you've done!
The first 3-4 days were super tame, just getting used to a new country/continent. Big Culture shock for sure. Didn't want to piss any Thai people off by being westerner with big money. Went to a bunch of buffets and ate some delicious Thai food. Watched the world cup in some Thai bars with locals and such. Went golfing once at Navatanee Golf Club with the President of Siam Concrete Group (which is the 2nd largest company in Thailand) . That was sick! We had cute caddies that were about 5'2" and hilarious. Saying things like , "Nice shot handsome man"! "Birdy shot, good luck" "up and down up and down". Ate dinner with the company people later too.
Shopped at MBK, that was hella fun too, i mostly just killed myself laughing and bargaining with the shop people. Saw some lady boys walking round. They are everywhere. You got to be careful. You think you know, you think you can tell, but safe bet is to just not risk it. I stayed away. You can look but you cant touch.
Then we got suits made by this Hindi man named Raja. He is the man. He's made suits for Bill Clinton, John Kerry, other US biggie bigs... Im pumped on my suit made for $400 Canadian!
Off to Phuket for relax (sabai sabai), beach and Thai Massage!
Saw a Mauy Thai fight in Khao Lak where we saw kids as young as 7 kick the shit of each other.... After each fight, the winning kid would walk up to where we were sitting in the bleachers and bow to us, it was crazy! Then all the kids would sit beside us and we'd buy them candy and soda pop and stuff! Got some Thai roll your own smokes, crazy harsh tobbacco. And watched the big fight, which was over in 2 mintues.. Those guys kick so hard!
Rode elephants, Boat trip to James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay, Lunch and trek through floating Village of Payanee, saw some nuts poverty and lots of muslim thai people (reminded me of hutterites). waterfall swimming.
Got wasted with the sexy thai Hotel Hostess's in the town of Khao Lak. I love Thai women I think, so nice, and cute... but not pay for sex and not street lady and NO LADY BOY....
Last night in Bangkok... Khao San Road, and Patpong District (red light district of Bangkok). Went to a girly dance bar, where we were bombarded with Thai women (No lady boy bar) who kept grinding us and saying 1 hour upstairs 2500 baht. I was having a fun time and I was wasted so I kept doing the Handjob sign, saying 1000 baht only! No more left, All have! Thai lady kept laughing, humping me and then giving the blowjob sign and saying 1500 baht, the fucking sign, 2500 baht, I bargained her down to fucking for 2000 baht, but I still didn't have enough baht... ANDDDD... YOU MUST NEVER SLEEP WITH A THAI HOOKER...... so I just let her keep begging me for another 20 minutes. I left with a "Lady show titties and feel" for 100 baht and got my nips pinched and then I was outta there so fucking fast. Then we saw a Ping Pong Show!!
I'm not gonnu tell about that.... You must see it though I guess.. There was a baby also aimlessly walking around the bar.... Pay no more than 500 baht for ping pong show... and get the hell out as fast as you can.... Do not cheers the strippers, stay no longer than 10-15 minutes.
I loved every minute of the trip. The fact that we had drivers, and my uncle is hella rich and connected in Thailand meant that we could always get away fast if we were to get in any trouble, we'd never get lost, got to do some really amazing things that only extremely wealthy people in Thailand get to do. and of course sampled some of the more humbling and local experiences like watching World Cup with people we'd just met in the bars, tuk tuk rides, making friends with locals our own age, watching Mauy Thai, try to impress Thai Ladies (who are safe!) I just got back and want to Go again soon!
