Replying to How do you define doubles? Triples?

With people talking about who landed the first triple, and there are a lot of arguments about who was doing the first doubles, and this was all stemmed by the first girl to do a double, how do you define dubs and trips in our sport?

I think for it to be counted in freestyle/newschool skiing, it must be off axis. Yes, on a triple backflip, you do go upside down three times, but a triple backflip is nowhere near as hard as a triple rodeo/cork/misty/flat/whatever, so I don't think it should count, because in that case, are we any different from aerials?
