On the Weekends?

During a crisis? Really? They're pissed? Where were they during Bush's "longest vacationing presidency in history" DURING A FUCKING WAR? They're pissed because Obama went to Maine with his family for 2 days? Goddamnit Republicans. If you're going to get pissed about something, get pissed about something that actually matters.

The article said for the weekend, and he HAS been taking weekend vacations here and there. It's the fucking weekend. Who the fuck gives. It's 2 (maybe 3) days of vacation. Like every other job.

Where are conservative voters when Obama is taking a vacation? Probably bitching about it along with Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.


There isn't a difference other than instead of a white Republican that is getting bitched at it is a black Democrat.

At least he has been successful, legislatively speaking. He's pushed his agenda through. Sure, his poll numbers aren't great, but Presidents shouldn't be in the game to get re-elected.

You said law earlier, executive orders aren't "laws" but are just used to clarify laws. He really can't do that much with executive orders.....but mostly, they are not laws is what I am getting at.

and thats through november, and so only the last couple of bills that would be presented would be able to be pocket vetoed really, so kind of a long time to go without any laws being passed just to wait until less then ten days to start trying to pass bills.

yeah but I mean after Truman (I think it was, not sure, been a few months since my history class) tried to put all steel mills under federal(I think) control through an executive order and the supreme court decided that was unconstiutional, their powers have gone down some.

Its bi-partisan America man...it doesnt matter what dems do, republicans on fox news will get angry, just as it doesnt matter what republicans do, democrats on msnbc will be all sorts of pissed

republicans didn't mind the war and democrats hated it when bush was invading countries and basicly committing war crimes to the 10th degree...now most republicans have nothing good to say about the war, along with people on the left thinking its perfectly fine to put 100,000+ more troops into Afghanistan when they were bitching about it less than 24 months ago

people really need to start putting their political affiliation behind them and simply do whats best for a struggling country

i think the big difference is, alot of bush's vacation time was spent at HIS PERSONAL RANCH which is CHEAP. obama goes to hawaii and shit, stays in expensive hotels, rents expensive cars and spends expensive money.
also, our economy was better before obama so spending a bit wasnt that big of a deal.

While it is pretty obvious to those that watch I am not an Obama fan to say he shouldn't have any vacations is stupid. Sorry, being President is hard as fuck and stressful. You need to let off steam somtime.

Now him getting mad at the BP president for going to watch some yachts while he had gone on 7 rounds of golf during the same time is a little hypocritical looking but everyone fucks up.

We were in the war for nearly all of Bush's presidency, and we are still at war. So theres no way bush really couldve avoided vacationing during the war and Obama is doing it too...

Obama has put 0 gallons of oil in the gulf, the bp ceo has put over 840000000 gallons into the gulf. in reality obama has very little to do with the oil spill and very little he can do about it other than give aid to victims and fuck over BP
