Replying to My Tonsils

sooo one of my tonsils is fine, but the other one is pretty damn inflamed, has been for a few days and it hurts like a bitch whenever i swallow, which turns out to be something i need to do a lot. now, i'm no doctor, but i know ns is, so is there something that this could be that isn't tonsillitis? i was hoping i'd get to work this summer so i can eat next year, so i'm really looking for an explanation that wouldn't require the long process of the removal of parts of my body.

any ideas?
