Where to start...
I am going to do a formal persuasive pitch to EA to try and get this
game up and running. We will see how it goes and when i do pitch it i
will give NS updates on it etc. Here is my summary for the plan for the game (pitch)
The point of the game "storyline" will be to make a ski film with your
buddies and become a famous skier. This object is like selling boards
in skate 3. You will work from down low to get better at skiing, and
getting cooler shots for your film. s you build "hype" (measured in
numbers like boards in skate 3, but your hype progress stays the same
to see your popularity and your hype points. Hype points will be used
for "buying" sponsorships or friends numbers or new gear etc.) you will
begin to get sponsorship offers etc. After this long game play is over
and you have "beaten" the game your movie will be shown at the theater
in the mall area. Then you have beaten the game in essence.
The controls are still trying to be configured but they are going to be
fairly realistic like in skate. The film editing will be just like
skate.
The main menu is an area that is kind of free roam. It will be a
mall/city area for free-roam, urban sessions and stores will be located
there to get all of your gear etc.
You will have a cellphone like in GTA4. It will be used for calling
buddies for different things. You will have chances to become friends
with lots of unique buddies. Here are a few of what i have been
thinking about: One friend to get you a heli for backcountry skiing,
one for a snowmobile for powder carving in the back country, one for
helping you shoot/ setup an urban session, one for getting guys to
train jumps/parks, one for backcountry pow jumps etc. You unlock other people's numbers by gaining hype.
It will be A massive mountian with the mall area at the base. The main mountain area will have three sections.
1, the park, this is basically the majority of the mountain. In between
park spots are groomers and shit like a real mountain so you can haul
ass and have fun.
2, the backcounrty/backside/powder infinite powder sessions on the
backside. This will take up a lot of the mountain area as well, it just
on the backside with bowls, cliffs and sick spots for jumps like old
mine shafts to jump etc.
3, The unlock able area after beating the game, it will be a small
blank area that you can change and make whatever you want. A free area
to build your own park or anything, from a 8 set of 200 foot jumps, to
a 300 foot pipe, or even a massive cliff line full of pillow lines and
drops. It will be a lot like the park editor in skate 3.
DLC: The downloadable content can range anywhere from new skis, to mount hood Windells park. We will have to be creative on what else to sell as add ons to the public.
Regarding character customization: the customization will be very amazing, from a bar that you can slide to make your clothing like Heinrik Harlut or as skinny as Jon Olsson to the height of your character. Or you could put different afterbang styles and there are infinite possabilites of your unique character.
There are sooooooo many more aspects to cover and to get in depth with all the seriousness but that is my summary.
