my guess would be if u work at a mtn starting low and just sorta working your way up, you probley need a heavy duty machene operators licence to drive a cat but besides that its probley just meating the right people that will give u a chance or teach you

just use what you would like to ski. no science in common sense but if anything would be helpful i would say physics/engineering and of course welding.

If you want to start building rails and jumps, the best experience I can see would be practical. In australia you need a heavy truck licence to drive a snow cat, but most park designers dont actually drive them, they get out and use shovels (apart from the pipe makers and big table makers). As for the rails, being able to ride them yourself gives you a good idea of what you want to ride, and what is possible.



In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.

A physics background would be nice. It's always good to have a theoretical background on gravity, velocity, and such if you're planning on building objects that throw people into mid-air. Just a thought.

there is ski area management in gogebic MI. thats where im going this fall. you go for 6 semesters there than u get a paid internship at any hill u want out west. and from what i understand u can cut all the parks u want. i guess its 1 of only like 3 schools that offer it.i
