What idiot thought it would be a great idea to build a mosque near or on Ground Zero!? I'm not opposed to Islam in any way but goddamn you would think any guy with half a brain could figure out it would cause a huge shit storm?
And then you have a catholic archbishop supporting the idea, saying "What is not acceptable is to prejudge any group, or to let fear and bias trump the towering American (and for us Catholics, the religious) virtues of hospitality, welcome, and religious freedom."

Speaking of which, why don't they build the mother of all worshipping buildings; a common place that Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, and every other major religious group can go to? Say it's a first step toward peace and cultural understanding and I'll bet you no one will have the balls to oppose that.
