Hvx200 and hmc150 battery?

just ordered a HMC150 and my school uses HVX200 p2 cam. Can I use the hvx battery with the hmc150? Ive searched the internet found mixed answers. Anyone know?

No you cannot. The HMC150 uses a "special" "high tech" battery. They're expensive as shit too.

They are different.
Has to do with recording protection and making sure the cam doesn't turn off mid take. If the HMC150 dies and you are recording, the HMC150 is able to safely "close out" the current take, leaving you with a safe file, un corrupted. HVX/HPX/DVX batteries cannot do that. That's why HMC150 batteries cost more. They are "intelligent"

But yeah I'm kind of mad that the HPX doesn't have this type of battery... oh well cheaper for me I guess.
