Really want to head to NZ in the next few weeks; does anyone have any suggestions? I have never even been there before, so not even sure which airport to fly to. Would be great to hear from some people who have skiied there alot. Yuh.

theres really only one difference...everything is upside down and backwards. it takes a little while to get used to spinning on the different axis but if you're really good and ambidextrous you should be fine.

Fly into Queenstown, then either stay there and ski Remarkables, or get a bus over to Wanaka and ski Cardrona/Treble Cone/Snow Park. Lots of hostels so accomodation is pretty cheap, Make sure you eat some pies, and do a bit of travelling around as well.

Fly into Christchurch
Get a connecting flight to Queenstown
Eat Fergburger
Ski at Remarkables (and possibly Coronet)
Get a bus to Wanaka
Ski at Treble Cone / Cardrona / Snowpark
And yeah, 2 or 3 people have died from head injuries so far this season, so a helmet might be nice.
I'd probably wait until we have another decent snowfall too

The most most important thing is to eat at fergburger frequently, everything else will fall into place if you follow this crucial advice.

If you like rocky icy steep skiing, Whakapapa on the north island is sick. The Pinnacles is enough terrain to keep you busy for a little bit. There hasn't been much snow down here this year though. I'm going to be building the park here this winter so look for some way nicer jumps to apear when we get enough snow. I've spent a few weeks building some new rails and features for Fuckapapa. I'd give it a few more weeks before hitting up any part of NZ though.
