What's with all the replicas?

I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see sunglasses that look like Oakley Frogskins EVERYWHERE. They aren't the exact same design, but they look pretty similar. Was Oakley the first ones to make those kind of sunglasses? I don't know, suddenly, the Frogskin design/look became really popular.

ray bans have been worn for decades. then oakley copied ray ban a couple years ago. then ec headwear copied ray ban and oakley. then all the asian brands followed.

This is my knowledge:
Ray Ban has been around FOR EVER. Wayfareres are OG shades, dating back to the 50s (?)
And gaining popularity ever since. Oakley came in with Frogskins in the 80s, and they were also popular. Recently (lasty couple of years), the new teenage girl trend is $10 Wayfarer replicas. I have a pair of ECs and Knockarounds, and yes I do know they look like knockoff Frogskins but I don't give a shit because I'd rather buy a couple pairs of knockoffs from companies in this community then pay $200+ for a pair that I would end up babying and never taking anywhere.

They are ray ban Wayfarers which came way before the oakley frogskins. They have always been pretty popular, actually i think i read somewhere that ray ban wayfarers and aviators were the two most popular sunglasses and most coppied of all time.

Well, I know lots of people have knockoffs here, but dude, half a year back or so, barely anyone had them. Now everyone does.
