Stolen weedeater...really...?

so i mow lawns for a job (7 of em around the local roads) hate on it or not its good cash for the amount of work and hours im not doing lol. anyways i was mowing my last lawn today...its on a main road (country road, not like in a town/village) it was sitting a good 10ft into the costomers driveway...huge lawn that goes deep into the back but small enough they can tell someone was mowing a lawn...(no i dont have a truck and trilaer yet cause NY is gay and changed the driving laws) but i come back after finishing mowing to weedwack and its fucking GONE!!! and it wasnt a pos walmart one! it was a year old sthil weedeater! i paid a good chunck of change for it last year...WTF fuck you thieves!! thankfully the lawn is a 90+ yearold lady who really doesnt care what it looks like so it doesnt matter if it wasnt weedeated for a few days but still now i gotta spend another 150-200 bucks with tax and all fr a new weedeater...uhhhg

file a report with your local police department
tell your parents - their insurance might have something for stolen goods
search craigslist for your stolen goods and/or a replacement - if you see your weedeater, send the person a message saying you think it is yours, it was stolen recently, and you have filed a report with the police. you want the serial number and any damage noticeable that may prove it is yours.

Then if you notice it for sale, you can make a legitimate claim that it was stolen (or for insurance purposes). If you have the serial number written down, that'd help. or any receipts, manuals, etc.

i can see why you arent able to drive yet. go ahead, go try to kick his ass and get your weedwacker back.

filing a report gives you a better chance of getting the stolen goods back? police find stolen goods on craigslist all the time now (might even be a designated position in some states just to find stuff on there) because the people selling the things on their are idiots.

or you could just be angry, go spend another 200 bucks on a new one and let it all slide.

personally i would see if my parents insurance could cover it, but it would probably be homeowners insurance and it usually only covers down to around $400. i know my brother got money to replace his stolen skis a few years back (around $450).

no? cause i was born 10 days after they changed the law from 20 hours and drivers ed to 6 monthes and 50 hours of driving and drivers ed of somesort...and ill talk to my dad about insurance...it too late now to file a claim...im buying one tommorrow. another stihl but a straight neck. 200 bucks + tax...great

Insurance companies send you a check, so no, you dont have to wait to buy a new one waiting for the insurance. They almost always require a police report on the stolen item tho.

Stihl chainsaws are very nice. Weedeaters though I personally prefer the Echo still. Just used to them I suppose.

I just prefer the Echo, we have one for around the house and just feel alot better and are a tad lighter than the STIHLs. I guess saying they are shit is a little strong, theyre pretty burly but I just like the Echo better.


STIHL keeps it real with the saws though.

i have a similar story, i work during the week for an auto glass company and i fix cracks in windshields so i have this kit with a dremel, resin to fix the windshields, and a metal thing called a bridge that helps the resin get into the crack, but anyway all of this was in a fanny pack in my car, and when i was at another job on the weekend it got stolen out of my car because i left the windows cracked, not thats $150 out of my paycheck even though it got stolen

^and the most fucked up thing that i didnt even add was that there was a bunch of other shit in my car like a pipe, weed, a skateboard, and basketball, which is all other shit they could have chosen that were worth less money, but they choose to steal a fanny pack (not my choice my work gave it to me) that just happened to be worth the most money

ya i love they're saws. i got a STIHL ms311 with a 20in bar, gotta get a skip tooth on it tho. i love husqvarna saws tho. best imo. but ya i got a STHIL fs 70 rc-e...200 bucks....i like my old one tho. you have you like rev this one up and my other one cut way cleaner

and no im not in wistler lol
