Hey guys, Im doing a project for the business school at my college. What exactly do you guys look for when buying outerwear? What types of colors? What type of layout? What features? What is the major selling point for you? Thanks guys +k for anyone who responds. It will help me out a ton!

I look for stuff thats functional and super cheap. Normally easy colors like black or white because once the colors and crazy designs come into play it gets to expensive for me.

I mainly like Colors on the Magic Jacket, Oakley bradford, etc. No neon, super bright and pale colors. Also a tall, baggy fit, Light, lightly insulated, zip-off sleeves and versatily, although I normally have to do it myself. Also, a nice feeling fabric... Either a cool, simple design, or complex all-over print. And normally something thats around $200, Like the Oakley Bradford

I don't normally buy outerwear, I've gotten a lot of free/uber cheap gear in the past. But I think I might pick up some new gear this year.

The things I look for are:
1. Fit- a lot of companies don't make jackets to fit my monkey arms
2. Tech- being wet sucks
3. Durability- I don't want to have to worry about snagging my coat/pants on a tree when i'm gettin' after it
4. Style- I'm old, and I don't want to look like a park-rat NS kid. But I'm not gonna wear SteepTech either
5. Color- kinda goes with style

Criteria:
1: 20k or greater h20 (go/no go)
2: venting / breathability
-- thigh vents,
-- crotch vents
-- event? ( breaths the best I think)
3: pocket placement
--pass pocket (on sleeve?)
-- hand pockets
-- napoleon pocket
-- utility / admin pockets
4: color (not black, but not bright either)

Brand also plays a role, OR, sessions, mammut, arcteryx, trew, TAD all rate P.S.
This hw confuses the shit out of me. And I have had 5 shots of espresso, 28 oz of coffee and a 5hr energy in the last 24. I think my heart is about to shit Highly

1. I really like outerwear with either blue red since there my favorite colors or similar bright colors
2. I dont like full print suits but i like the outerwear that has separated colors like oakley air raid, corked, or the new first drop
3. For features, in no order, goggle case, season pass holder, ipod pocket, phone pocket, headphone guides, powder skirt, vents, and a nice hood.
4. Major selling points for me are what separates it from every other company out there. For example i like orage for the pass holder on the arm, and i like oakley for the magnetized hood.

looks cool, i.e. bright yellow and purp pants to go with. cheap. isn't too small. a sneaky pocket, all pockets big. I don't really care how tech it is I like cold and layer when skiing.

well you need some kind of water and windproof shell. may as well have it look good. And I said cheap, my last jacket was $70. And it is techy it's just not something I really care about, I'm not going on 5 day tours where I need to stay dry.

price isn't to high on my list. I wouldn't wanna put even a small amount of money into a product i wont love wearing. tech isn't that important either as 20/20 3L fabric is complete overkill for 90% of the weather, and not really necessary for the other 10%. durability and functionality are the big ones for me. how many pockets? how big? are the awkward where they hang with stuff in them? how many vents? how easy do all the zippers work? It also has to stay together and look nice for an entire season at least. and honestly how you think it looks and how you feel wearing something are very important to me. call me shallow but ill have a better time doing anything if i really like how i look. soo..
