Feedback for logo

my brother is opening a bouldering gym and asked me to design a logo for him
so i was looking for some feedback/critisism on what i've got so far

that really needs some work. Looks more like a quick sketch than a almost final logo.

the fingers look creepy, the type doesn't look harmonic at all.

Does the logo work on a white sheet of paper? does it work on business cards? flyers? On a bigger scale (banners etc)?

I don't think so.

Maybe your brother should hire a freelancer to do this. 90% of the time a good logo/outer apperance will help you get a good start.

I like the idea as a whole. I see a hand grabbing a hold, which plays into the whole climbing thing. However, as was pointed out, the font does not fit. It seems too Willy Wonka-ish almost.

I like the logo a lot actually.
Pros: The simplicity! (so many people try so hard to make the coolest logo that is going to stand out, but what they dont know is you dont need something so extravagant to draw attention.

The fact that when i look at the logo I get the idea that whatever the logo stands for will bring an adrenaline rush and something physical. Thats exactly what you get from rock climbing.

Cons: Like they said ^ the font is very willy wonka-esque




So all in all i think the logo delivers everything a company would ask for. Sure i have worked at a graphic design place, but im no expert at all. My best advice would be to write down everything that NS says and then take it to somebody that knows truly what they are talking about and then tweak your logo based on all of those facts.

I'll find some more. All of them deliver a message almost instantly. You are on the right way I guess, but there really i a lot of work that needs to be done.

i looked at that for like..30 seconds and then shouted "THAT IS SOOOO CLEVER!!!!" out loud at my brother

feedback-wise, i like the idea but just tweak a few things: font, like said, is slightly out of place and the hand is a bit dodgy but i like it.
