Shit happens when you take risks, i remember that huge pile when i went to camp, im pretty sure i was too scared to leave mine there and brought them down every day, i think, that sounds way less lazy than i normally am.

thats total weaksauce- some kid stole my pipe cleaner(only pair in PA) anyway I found this guy riding my my skis and my bindings- followed him to his car-got his license plate and a friend took pics of him with the skis- reported it to police- dumbass spent the night in jail when they caught him and had to reimburse me 700 because he had used them- plus a 350 dollar fine-


so in conclusion- everyone gets what they deserve in the end

bullshit. my friend james in PA (springs) had pipe cleaners!

just messing! but good for you that you caught that little fucker...there were SO many skis/snowboards stolen at springs this year..

At least the skis are one of a kind and they can be easily recognized by other people. So if you could describe them or post a picture that would help your cause.
Also I am happy because i got moments that have "cut off" tips and they are easily spotted.
Anyways, good luck with findings them, and if they make their way over to Michigan I will be on the look out.

I wanna know what ever happened to all those skis that got robbed from the K2 storage unit? I remember hearing back that there was like over 70 pairs of next years skis robbed from the factory/storage unit somewhere, so they decided to switch the graphics on the rest of the production skis, just so people could tell them apart.

Did any of those skis ever end up surfacing?

I probably am unaware of the actual circumstances but.. Maybe you should have had a backup pair of skis with you, thereby allowing you to make the sunset shoot. Or did you have a backup but by the time you got them the shoot was over..

I don't think you really understand, pro skiers pay their way through the winter too, many i know work in restaurants, construction, landscaping and all sorts of shitty jobs just to make ends meet. Even if he does get his skis for "free" he still is putting in a shit ton of work behind the scenes just to get that video part.  Skis are worth money to them too, stealing skis from a pro is like stealing a couple costco size things of peanut butter and at least 50 packets of cheap pasta from them. so essentially what you're saying is you endorse the stealing of food from a poor persons mouth? sick fuck...

but yet he does not have to pay for his skis i never said anything about his second job or behind the scenes. i bet if you asked him if he enjoyed sessoning a spot to gts for a movie he would say it was dope and im glad i got the shot not. what the fuck i hate trying to do this trick 50 times and finally getting it. if hes a pro i would hope he loves every aspect of skiing. so dont pull irrelevant subjects into this to try to make me look like a "sick fuck".

Can everyone just calm down. Yes we all know that he is a pro skier and does get tons of shit for free, but someone has to pay for that pair of skis, and new ones, costing k2 money. (And yes I know k2 is a huge ass company and could afford that, but still that's someones money that had to go into those skis.) And yes I do have to say I would suck someones dick to get domains or revivals, but this also causes a bad rep for the camp ( If it was at one, which I'm assuming it was), because people hear about this and parents hear, and word travels that the camp is bad because they have no way of protecting campers gear. But whoever stole them, I hope their dumb enough to not know that the skis are next years, and someone busts their ass for selling them/riding on them. Alright so that's my 2 cents and if you took the time to read all this you probably have very little of a social life... have a good day

If it makes you feel any better, last Friday I was riding my bike home from the bar and some little 14 year olds on bikes came up from behind and pushed me off my bike and I got really cut up and tore a ligament in my thumb. Last week I had to have surgery on my thumb, now I'm in a cast and can't move it for 3 months, let alone bike, golf, or go to Hood like I had planned to. So yeah...not trying to be a downer...just saying it could be worse, ya know?

Seriously though that blows that there is thievery amongst such a tight community at such a fantastic place like a summer ski camp. People need to learn some fuckin respect.

On the other hand I don't have much sympathy for someone who gets unlocked skis stolen, nor would I expect any.

A true professional, like someone who depended on his tools for his livelihood should safeguard those tools even more so.


Clearly the only option here is a towel and soap party for Private Margetts.

There are classic pieces of video that most of us will never forget. Candide's cork 810 to rail, Tanner's switch shifty 7, JP Walker's double cork and so on. I believe a video showing a ski thief being beat to shit would drastically help the mind of a thief. The video would be a ski gabber thread staple. There would be audio during the beating saying, "this is what you get when you steal," boom punch to the face. The court system is never seen by you youngsters, therefore you have no image of what will happen to you in the court system. Hearing of fines, police, and other thieving punishment isn't enough to deter these thieves.

A good ass whoopin documented on video would educate and instill a vision to these thieves that, "hey, if i steal these skis and get caught, i will get the shit kicked out of me. all of these people (skiers) are police and anyone of them can catch and promote my ass kicking! i won't steal these skis today."
