How many jacked ski threads have their been? Just because he has an orange name he should be treated differently? i am sure he was putting this up for the same reason as everyone else, to make it aware that shit was stolen at a specific place/time and for the locals to keep an eye out.

for real it does suck he got his skis stolen but not even close to the amount of sadness could have come about someone that is not sponsored and got there skis stolen after they worked or begged there parents for a new pair of skis for christmas

i guarantee K2 is not going to drop for missing that shoot i guarantee you K2 gave him or is going to give him new skis, i wouldn't think twice they shipped him a new pair of skis shortly after he reported it to K2 (if he even reported it) but you miss read what i put i said IM SORRY HE MISSED THE SHOOT BUT IM NOT SORRY ONE BIT HIS SKIS GOT STOLEN

Do you know how much a set of skis cost? thats not like getting your hat stolen. Do you work? I doubt it because it sounds like you have no sense of value. But we will wait till you do and your tools to your livelihood get stolen. sure your company will replace them, but your still fucked till then, and just because you can get reimbursed doesn't make it right.

me having to purchase my own ski vs. a kid that gets sponsored after buying maybe 10 skis tops in his life now has the privilege of being sponsored and doesn't have to pay for anything all he has to do is ski and be good at skiing. when most of the ski world will never have to opportunity to be sponsored and get free skis ect. the sponsored riders get free stuff to make sure they perform and ski well. so he's gonna get a FREE pair of skis not matter what for something he didnt even do the amount of skis K2 (a huge producer in the ski world) has it wont effect them one bit. i know the value of skis i know the amount made in ski companies factories would not go under just because one of there riders gets there skis stolen and has to replace a pair for him. you cant compare me or any other non sponsored person to a sponsored let alone PRO skier in this day and age the way money get tossed around.

I still don't see what him being pro has to do with it, THEFT IS THEFT, STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY IT.

And I'm the kind of person who sees pros as the fucking average people they are, and no matter who you are it sucks to get shit stolen.

he doesnt exactly have a few days or weeks to wait for new skis though because his job is coaching at coc, which means that he needs to be on skis to do his job

THANK YOU. Jesus, no one realizes that skiers that get product for free, arent really getting "free" product. You should look at it as a form of payment for what it is they do, AND not only that but those skis , boots, gloves, etc. allow those to do there job.

TRUE THAT, I get hook-ups for bunch of shit from companies like if they sponsor the shoot or comp then I'll get something from them.

So what if we get free skis, we do a shit-load of work behind the scenes.

I mean I can't tell you how many times I've had my skis stolen and had to replace them with MY own money because there was an event the next day. Skiing might seem like a simple job but it really isn't. PLUS keep in mind that for most skiers it takes a 50 try minimum to get a sick shot.

i bet he also didnt have just one pair of skis, maybe he had a couple other pairs back down at the lodge this would mean him to run down to the lodge to get them would cost him missing the sunset so it couldnt be helped? thats what im thinking because you see in pictures of behind the sense park shoot in there cabin and huts how many backup skis pros have. once again im really sorry you missed the shoot because thats was your job but im sure it wont be your last pair of skis

K2 is now making flat and reversed cambered skis. Those skis were silencers with camber which they dont make anymore.

it was a good ski and like E.D.I.T said in our argument theft is theft but with skiing today and the mass production and the way pros get ski you can pretty much say they get skis handed to them thats there job to promote there company that they ride for and also themselves and the movie/competitions they compete in. NO HATE just saying my 2 cents

honestly I wouldn't feel much worse for a rich kid that just asked his/her parents for a pair and they got jacked.
and theft is theft, its not like the kid who stole the skis was robin hood or something, it was just a selfish thing to do and that kid needs to get caught.


anyways man, hope no more stuff happens like this on the mountain this summer, that is a big bummer to hear about.

why the fuck is there an argument going on here? all this should be is a heads up to punch the punk in the face and get marg his skis back. getting skis stolen sucks no matter who you are... there's work involved either way. and anyway, we all go to the hill and leave things around in racks or whathaveyou expecting some honesty, so when that understanding is broken i'm pretty sure this is more than reasonable.
