Replying to 80s music the peak of musical intelligence?

i think that between  the late 70s and into the 80s was the time that the deepest sounds ever were created.

Duran Duran, Simple minds,  The Cure,  Eurythmics,  the doors and others who used synthesized sound.

I feel like 80s synthesized music was really the birth of electronic music.

I think bands like fischerspooner and ladytron and cut copy really captured what the 80s was, which is why i think those to bands are making a sound these days that nobody else can hold a candle to.
