While very impressive, the fact that the McLaren F1 has only been topped by a few cars is VERY impressive considering it is over 10 years old, and out of a NA powerplant.
really though, who cares, lets make a car that consumes no gasoline and forget about retardedly fast cars that get people in tons of trouble and get 2 mpg. save that for spaceships.
the one person I know who legitimately hates on the veyron drives one of the only stateside 9FFs.
Though I could say I hate on it too. if I had the money, there are much more fun cars I could buy for a fraction of the price. have a 4-6 car garage, with a commuter, two track cars, a show car, and a truck to get to the mountains, plus a few bikes of course.
the problem is that the technology has slowed- bot because of lack of new devices- its just that at speeds like that the sheer amount of hp it takes for it to go faster is astonishing- the veyron only needs 165 hp to do 150 mph- however it requires all 1001 bhp to reach 253- it becomes more about just cramming more hp in rather than aero to achieve higher speeds
true about the list being small
koeniegsiegg cc
koeniegsiegg ccx
koeniegsiegg ccxr
ssc ultimate aero
9ff gt9
Zenvo St1
Saleen s7 TwinTurbo
And all 3 Veyrons(Gran Sport, SuperSport, and Regular)
Yes you have a point, I'd enjoy driving that car even if it was under 50 mph, though it would be a lot better to get up to 270ish. I just meant that the average person that can afford that car probably isn't going to take that car up to full speed or anywhere close.
And a video for everyone's entertainment:
LOL at guy going "that going to be mine one day" and "pretty sure that's a lambo dude"
