So i got written up at work today..

i work at a golf course, in the pro shop. i have for about two months, and it's been a great job so far except for some of the people i have to work with. a couple of them are cool, but there are also a few (one in particular) who is a piece of work. she's just condescending all the time, to everyone.. customers, members, other staff, etc. totally insincere to the customers. when she's on the phone she just sounds like a total bitch and then slams the phone down and goes "wow...what a fucking idiot" while there's other customers around.

direct quote from her last week "i just don't think i was like...born to like...work, you know? i mean, unless it's like...fun work"

whenever our boss is around though, she just turns on the charm and makes like everything is cool.

so i've been trying to just deal with it and ignore it..i go outside every once in awhile when she's been pissing me off and help out with the outside ppl cleaning carts, running clubs, greeting ppl off the 18th, etc. we have been told to do this, especially when there's like 3 or 4 of us scheduled and there's too many people in the shop, because there's always something you can be doing outside.

i guess she's told my boss that i am "never in the shop and just stand around outside and disappear all the time"

so today my boss calls me into his office and gives me this sheet to sign saying we had a talk about this...i'm pretty fucking pissed considering me and two of the other ppl there work the hardest of all of us (there's six) and this one girl does fuck all except when our boss comes into the shop.

so my question is:
a) what should i do about this? i don't want to be a rat/unprofessional but i feel like it's a totally unfair and misunderstood situation, and
b) has anyone else been in this situation at work?

Start doing this, learn to do it well cause you'll need it in life.

Also why don't you tell your boss about the shit she does. It's only a job at a golf course. IMO I'd fight fire with fire on this one.

I'm not sure how old you are or how many jobs you've had, but the farther you get along in life and the more jobs you hold the more you will realize that this is life. At any job I can guarantee that there are people that don't do shit and then there are people that have to work twice as hard just to make up for all the work that the idiots do not do. The main thing to remember about this is that believe it or not the right people will eventually notice the hard workers, and the shitty ones will weed themselves out. I see this on a daily basis.

As far as being a rat, I would not worry about it. Have a talk with your boss and let him know whats going on, but do it in a way that does not make you sound like your whining about it. Explain to him that you feel your write up is undeserved, and also explain why you go outside. If he is even a half way decent manager, he will take what you say into consideration, and also be on the lookout for her bad attitude.

i'd say just stay working hard, and eventually your boss will catch her or a customer will complain about her, and then your boss will see that you are the hard worker and that her complaint about you was unmerited.

You know what, I haven't. Doesn't mean I haven't seen all the hype about the one time he came back for a bit. All that hype means one thing for sure: if he truly is back, he will brighten up the atrocity that is ns in the summer.

some serious advice. Talk to you coworkers. Do they feel the same way you do? Do they like you and dislike her? If they do, be mature, don't whine, talk to your boss. Explain that you are just dilligently doing your job. Maybe say "I know its tough my saying one thing and another person saying another, dont take my word for it, if you talked to others and kept a eye on things without people knowing I think you would find that I am working very hard and the allegations are baseless, and maybe you should even look at the person making the allegations".

my boss does coke and aderol and shit like that, and sometimes she comes into work just out of it and sometime like mad emotinal and sometimes in rages, but all we do is whenever we see her is to kiss ass so bad its ridiculous, if you get on her bad side and you do one thing wrong you loose your bonus for the year

well it seems like this lady needs to go. 1. Suck it up and don't leave the shop/go outside or a few weeks. 2. Get an attractive female friend, who people at work don't know is your friend, and get her to come in. Pretend you don't know her but have her deal with the lady that ratted you. Then have your friend get pissed at the bitch, as complain to your manager. If she's attractive, you manager is much more likely to be receptive to her complaint. Have her yell your manager she was rude and disrespectful and that she will not return for buisness as long as tar emplyee is there. This hould get her in a fair amount of trouble. A few things. Make sure nobody know the girl is your friend. That will ruin it. Also give her a hard time that day so she is rattled and more likely to fuck up. Get your friend to act like a Furious diva, and make sure she sells the act. Elaborate? Yes Devious? Yes Untracable to you? Sort of Revenge served? Definatly.

So did I... inspired by a really weiner-ish manager of another store... who happens to be quite a respected member of the NS community.

I had a formal complaint written up about how this person talks down and flat out wastes time just by nit-picking me... I'm a girl in the ski industry, GET THE FUCK OVER IT. But he beat me to the punch and now I can no longer submit my write up because it would only be viewed as retaliation.

People suck and you just have to be the bigger person in the end. I avoided loosing my job by taking my write-ups and going back to work... Karma will come around for those nasty people.

tell your boss. i have to deal with the same exact fucking girl at work and i hate her so much. basically your options are deal with it or tell your boss. i guess you could quit too, but thats a little dramatic.
