Seriously have someone bob through the area your about to jump into to check the depth. If they find any rocks have people stand on them to mark them. Besides that go big or go home

The shallower the water, the safer. If you can see bottom..you can probably jump from like 30-45 feet. It's the dark water that is sketchy. If you can't see bottom, don't jump there. There might be rocks or something.

Make sure your arms are at your side, or else you'll get bruised if you jump a lot with your arms out

all you want to do is before you hit the water go into a pencil. thats the best way.  because of you have your arms out at all they wil slap the water and it hurts like a bitch.  other then that, you should be good.  just do get busted by the po po

as long as its not over 30 feet theres not much concequence if you land decently good. 30-50, it can hurt a fair bit, 60 plus you could probably do some damage if you landed wrong.
i did a 60 ish foot cliff when i was about 13, i landed wrong and ended ripping the muscles in my stumache, i was in pain for a few weeks after that.

yes, check for boats, my friends dad split his spine when he was a kid because he didn't check for a boat and he jump and landed flat on his back,

These responses are pathetic. It's summer NSG but he wasn't some tips, go troll something better in this Forum.

Well first, make sure there's no rocks, and check for boats.

If its 30+ feet keep your arms right by your side like a pencil dive because if they're left out, it'll hurt. Some people prefer to jump with shoes on, although I like shoes off. I wouldn't be the first one to go, let someone who's done it before go. When you hit the water you'll be under for a good 2-3 seconds, then get up and swim to the side.

NO. this is completly wrong, if your jumping from any decent height (45ft+) you want to enter the water with flat feet and shoes on. pointing your toes down is how you break your ankles (insert T-hall joke here).

always check the water depth before you jump, nothing worse than dying you know. bring a friend or two that is familiar with the spot also if you can, just so they would recognize if the water level was lower than usual or anything that could hurt you.

No,  but all cops take bridge jumping breaks where they all hit up the best bridges. During these breaks they are very territorial as usual and will get "buck" if there's a lot of people at there favorite spot.

i always wear an old pair of running shoes. i recommend this, and progressively work your way up to the higher jumping spots.



if your s00p3r l33t, drive your bike off a jump into the water. to find it, tie a rope to it with a floating bottle on the end so you can find the rope.

If it is the first time you have been to this place this year, make sure someone checks the water for rocks that you could potentially land on. Also, look for trees and pointy sticks that could have fallen since the last time you were there.

Possibly worst advice in here, no offense. You have to think about a lot of things before you jump and check to make sure its safe first. If you just went jumped off any random bridge without scouting it out to make sure its safe you could get seriously injured or worse.

Ok, fuckface. I did my research because you were such a sarcastic son of a bitch, and BASE jumping is not universally illegal.  There are plenty of bridges where it is legal, and plenty where it isn't. So for you to say that this kid's spot is definately illegal is a blatant fucking lie because you have no goddamn idea where he is even planning on bridge jumping. Fuck.
