I did that a year ago!! Had the time of my life..I went there for a semester on exchange, and it went by really fast. Surfers is overrated though, it's a very touristy spot. I was there when it was winter, so it wasn't that crowded. If you're going to the beach I would head to Main Beach to avoid the crowds. There's good surfing there too. I lived in Surfers, but more on the border. I was lucky enough to get a place right by the beach. It's def a party place so you'll have a great time if you're into the club scene.
As for Griffith, it's a good sized campus with mostly international students. A lot of students are German or Canadian. Never met so many Germans in my life..Anyways, I took Int'l Business courses and the class sizes were fairly small..around 30. And Aussies are real friendly and laid back. I loved it there! There isn't any skiing close to GC though, the closest are Thredbo or Perisher in New South Wales. Oh if you get the chance, definitely check out Byron Bay. It's a hippie town with a cool vibe and surfing. Anyways, that kinda touches on my experience. you can pm me if you want more info. You're gonna have so much fun
