me too, but im not complainin cause our basin is dope for plain skiing, but we ainttttt got no terrain park. and its hella high up so you get a great view, the base of the mountain is as 10.5 thousand feet

ours iss 211ft well the hill the terrain park is on is about 50ft but our season was dec. 18 to march 14 oh did i forget the amount of snow we got was about 6 inches and we had a 24 inch base all season

eayh, i am like most of you.... we have like 300 vertical, and our season is about 3-4 months.... and we get about 6 inches of natural snow a year.... sum of you ppl bitch about like 800 feet, and how you only got like 30 inches... u r lucky.

The only problem with my hill is the park. They don't understand that in Cali, you gotta put out some sick jibs to compete..all the rails are boring normal stuff you see everywhere. And nothing that special..our only cool rail was the octa-rail. Its like a fat stop sign..super big, just stuck in the snow halfway. Too bad they arent allowed to set it up like that anymore cuz too many people got broke off on it.

reasons why blue mountain sucks:

1. main pipe is flat.

2. main pipe is a waste of time and money (the park techs, the groomers, the marketing and promotions department, and the skiers and snowboarders)

3. main pipe takes up valuable room in park which could be used for much more useful things

4. the pickle pipe (good pipe) doesn't get the attention (grooming time, snowmaking, and hype) it needs.

5. the park is only half a run big... that's so amature for a resort that's claiming that it's as good as the big guys.

6. skelton's house and the bed and breakfest at the bottom of the park - can't play the music loud, or play anything with bad language.

7. intrawest/ontario nazi rules - can't go anywhere off the groomed (not even onto the little trails 2ft off the groomed trail)

8. (no offence to the park staff but...) they pretty much have the same set up (except for the little change here and there) every year, yet they can't figure out how to make anything work till the starting of march, and by than, it's kinda too late, don't ya think?

9. people are slowly starting to get a lot of attitude. (when you just meet someone for the first time, one of your first questions shouldn't be 'so what kind of tricks can you pull?')

but hey, at least it's better than snow valley.

as for number 9, we had to same problem, they didnt want us to built anything all year, so the last day they go and built us a 30 foot table which is humoungous for us, and then it was over,

wow all these mountains makes ours look like friggen mt. snow, we got a 4 months season, had a max of 2 boxes and 4 rails, on mini spine and 2 tables (one 10 ft. and other was 15, later changed to 40 for big air). thats about it.


Why don't you take a long walk on a short peir.

none of you guys should be able to say shit because you have not been to powder ridge in connecticut, we have one operating lift and one rail that isnt tipped over or on a crazy slant, and all the jumps are never groomed, ill try and find a picture, or the vert of it, which must be around 200 feet

Why Mt Buffalo (Australia) sucks
1. They have 5 lifts but only enough snow to open 3 a season.
2. Average snow fall is 40cm
3. The 3 lifts that are open are no stepper then beginer to intermediate
4. No park or pipe
5. No big mountain
6. Bitch of a road to drive up
7. Powder is nothing but wet

i don't understand why people on this site from shitty area's constantly bitch about their terrain. I grew up in pennsylvania, biggest mountain near me was 45mins away with 1000 feet of vert. Not much terrain, only 'park' they had until I left for college 3 years ago was a 10 foot long shitty jump. I live near mt snow and killington now, I have no complaints. But when I did live there, I wouldn't feel justified complaining: it's pennsylvania, what do you want. If you live in a state like Ohio, I don't see how you can complain about having a small mountain. Yes, it sucks, but skiing is a mountain based sport, so if you dont live near mountains, that's just life.

Our moutian has 2 runs although they say it has 12, and it has one chairlift, and that chair lift is the smallest four person chair lift in the world(im not saying that sarcasticly) it has 4 poles.

grouse sucks because
1) they have some of the sickest park stuff ever, and the park manager doesnt know how to use it. We have a 40 fot flatbar that spent lots of the season just sitting in the ground, and half the rails are on shitty angles with step up jump ons that are really lippy kickers. Not to mention they put most of the tables too far back so if its ever warm there is around 200 feet of flat to go across before hitting the table.

Ok we had one maybe 20 foot jump all year and that was the best one of maybe 2 jumps altogether.... MAYBE. Our pipe is so flat so you get one good hit if you start like 75 feet above the pipe and straightline to your hit... but its PA so my standards arent that high, i just wish we didnt waste our damn snow building banked turns and pointless shit when they could at least build us ONE nice jump

i like my mountain just fine. mt hood doesn't get near enough credit for great winter skiing. it's not as insane as what you might see in colorado or at bachelor, but i like it. it's a home away from home for me.

yup bristol sucks , ^definitely not as bad and some of these other places, but with the money, resources, and potential they have, they could do soooo much better, and yes they must learn to drive the groomer and not hit and break rails with in a few months of buying them
