So I just learned how to water ski and once I improve I'l get some wake skis so I have two questions
Could someone hwo has used them for being towed by boat not cable advise me on buying the stereo standard ski or standard park edition
Also I would like to know if wen wakeskiing it is nesesary to have the rope that's toyng you up high
Sorry for gramar
Plus k
you dont need to have a tower to ski. it is easer to be towed and pulled up but other than that it isnt really a problem. also you can just use a long tow rope to get pulled.
you are right that you dont need one, but it sounds like hes going to be more into tricks and whatnot. if so, they make a huge difference in height off the wake. im used to riding behind my friends boat which has a tower, and recently i went riding with a different friend whos boat has no tower and i could barely even clear the wake lol
i suggest pursing wakeboarding instead of wakeskiing. Having done both, and being an OK snow skier, i can tell you that wakeskiing is NOTHING like real skiing. In addition, wakeskis have limitations that a wakeboard does not. wakeskis are wobbly and big and clunky, they also dont allow for the pop that wakeboard does, and thus you cannot physical ever go as big as a wakeboarder.
Im sorry if im crushing your hopes and dreams, but i just think you (or anybody else in the world) will have more fun on a board.
Either way, your gonna want a wakeboard boat, and obviously a tower. towing behind your buddies old fishing boat just isnt gonna do anything.
