this year i believe i saw the same pipe run alot, it was somthin like straight air, flatty cork 9, alley oop 5,flare but in different orders. i just thought it was strange how everyone is doin about the smae tricks and the judging is just based on style, amplitude, and not fallin

maybe you didnt watch enough comps. But, I saw some cork 10s switch 7s, flat 7s. Progression in the pipe is blowing up. I guess you only got to see televised stuff, but wait til next year. oh, and have you not seen turpin's switch run? ridiculous.

Id say you have a point there. There definetly seems to be a repitition of tricks sometimes. What sort bothers me is that even at some of the highest levels some of the guys have trouble hitting both walls. Everything is alleyoop. I defintely think that that is something that will have to be worked on. I think alleyooping can take away from the flow in a run. Hopefully, it will come.

Another thing I wonder, and no disrespect here at all, is why on switch hits they are all done alleyoop. It does seem easier to do it this way, but I think if it was learnt to look over the shoulder that is pointing up the pipe, switch could progress more because speed would be easier to keep. Plus, again, it flows better this way.

Any thoughts?

good point-whats up with that

i wonder if well see dropping in switch next year, or unatty 9's on the left wall, i bet the pros will calm down next year and work on a more consistant flowing origional run rather than boosting flat 5's and stuff like simon and winning
