i dont know of any special name for it but you need a serger to do that kind of stich

i wanted to do this also, its not on most ordinary machines as far as i know though.

as the make your own hoodie cult they might know

the machine that you use for this is called a serger. they have three or more threads in stead of one and they also have a blade that cuts off the excess fabric. a serger is the only way to get a finished preoduct like that
