It's not a recent movie I barely remember seeing it as a kid but this boy follows his big brother on his bike one night and finds out he's doing some sort of gang initiation where he has to cross this gap over a big whirl pool on a skinny metal beam, and tag his name on the wall on the other side. The boy tries to do it too and he falls into the whirlpool and wakes up in some forest and befriends a bunch of ninja kangaroos or some shit. i dont know, it was wierd, but it's bugging the shit out of me.
