No for a set of reasons.
1. USA's Goal would have completely changed (at the time) the outcome of the group and the final group match.
2. England went on to lose 4-1. If you say the games outcome would be different if England had 2 - 2 going in to half, Im sure they were more fired up trying to come back down from 1 and reclaim and lost goal.
In my opinion This South African World Cup is a big fail for FIFA. Theres no world cup atmosphere..a bunch of Africans blowing vuvuzuelas, only a handful of fans from the nations that are actually playing that match, Its winter there.. and outside the stadiums its a horrible place to be. Also Horrible reffing and no one is playing consistent good football.
I'm dissappointed and wonder what happened to this atmosphere at the games.

I believe that in hockey that they have some sort of censors to tell if the ball has crossed the line, the same could be done in football with cameras being an alternative if its hard to tell with the camera. There are some flaws such as how will the censers discriminate the ball from players ect, but that is when you use the camera.
I knew this response was comming.
Yes, and i have relatives who live there as missionaries. Do not get me wrong, Im not talking about SA not being a beautiful place. Im talking about the trouble in the surrounding areas. Im also talkin about how it is winter there right now. I could have gone to this world cup for a cheap price (not including the 2grand to fly over to SA???)
But I just knew this world cup was going to be a let down..its just too far away for most fans to travel, and why would they want to travel to a dangerous area?
