Hangover Cures

anyone have any good remedies for a hangover- already took 2 ibuprofen but i still feel like someone ounched me in the face really hard

This wont help you now but next time you're drinking, right before you go to bed, drink like an entire Poweraid /Gatoraid and take an asprine or two. You'll wake up the next morning feeling great.

As for now, eat something greasy. ie. pizza, or McDonald's and drink Poweraid and try and get some sleep. If I'm super hung over I'll just eat and then take Tylenol PM and sleep all day.

I remember my first time being hungover....No seriously I do, and when I woke up, I just started drinking more beer, it was St. Patricks day, and that was the worse idea I ever had. Drinking with a hangover.

Keep hydrated- drink Gatoraid

I dont know if you have it by you but at my stewarts theres a drink called Urban Detox which helps out really well.  Its a fruit drink made by function and only a few dollers.

and the best hangover cure for me is weed

Hangovers are from the alcohol dehydrating you the night before. What I always do is before I go out for a big night of drinking ill put at least 2 litres worth of water next to my bed. That way when I get back from wherever, I force myself to drink all of it from before.

But if you don't drink it the night before then the best bet is drink a lot of water or gatorade. You probably wont want to but force yourself to drink it. Also so ibuprofen and some greasy food will help. In the south, a traditional hangover cure is a bottle of coca cola and a pickle. The coke settles the stomach and the pickle (about 90% water), re-hydrates them.

idk if this also works but what about bread it you eat bread wont it absorb the alcohol in your body? correct me f i am wrong... hope you are feeling better.

it only works when the booze is in your stomach- ie never drink on an empty stomach

i drank some more water- took a shit and a shower and the ibuprofen kicked in so i feel pretty damn good now

That means don't get so drunk, or drink a gallon of water before you pass out.

once you're hungover you're pretty much fucked. there are things you can do to make the hangover better... mid day nap is a great help, drinking lots of water with a bit of gatorade... things to remember about that though is: don't chug water, it doesn't help you at all. you've got to sip it slowly throughout the day for your body to properly absorb the water. and don't just drink gatorade. gatorade is good for you and will help you feel better, but it isn't actually good for you, if you know what I mean. There is a lot of sugar and it takes more energy for your body to deal with gatorade than water, so don't just go drinking bottle upon bottle of that shit.

those are about the only real things you can do to "cure" a hangover. eating greasy food isn't going to do you any real good, and personally, I don't like taking pills to feel better, so...


Just stay hydrated while drinking and avoid the hangover to begin with. drink a glass of water between drinks while drinking, drink water before going to bed, and don't get silly drunk... that last one can be tricky though.

win- on a more serious note i think it may have been from getting whiplash off a diving board yesterday combined with drinking is what made this one hurt - normally i just feel a little groggy and slow- but my head was pounding this morning- all good now-

I have tried all of the above and the only home remedy that works is water, sleep, cranking the ac, and time.

However, if you have a fire fighter or paramedic friend who can give an iv that will instantly cure you. I only have done it twice but it works like magic.

hey man you may not really feel like eating but really eating greasy food works wonders, (ie egg mcmuffins, ham and cheese sandwich). That with a bunch of water, gatorade, or the vitaminwater flavour revive should do the trick. Also blazin a little in the morning usually helps take my mind off the hangover, and makes me hungrier so i eat more.

I always stop drinking like an hour before I go to bed and start casually drinking water. Even just a couple of cups can help. I blacked out one night and my friend made me drink a bunch of water before I went to bed and I barely had a hangover the next day. It's all about hydration. Or just never stop drinking

well im no scientist but lets look at the facts. the reason we get hangovers is cuz we lost like all our carbs in our body. sooooooo thats why u go and eat a bacon egg and cheese. or something with a ton of carbs. jump in a pool. and move around.

you can't really cure a hangover. i pulled the trigger yesterday morning and ate a shitload of food and drank a lot of water, and i felt great by like 2. also, a nap during the day works wonders.

I read all the replies, and they are all valid.
My solution is sleep wayyy in, and then drink the leftover alchohol, or spike my coffee. Drink water and sports drinks all day everywhere I go, and as soon as my body lets me eat, I go eat some good food. I'll head down to mcdicks and grab 2 for 1 quarter pounders and I'm set

Yes, yes, yes! I cannot stress this one more, minus the advil. If you make yourself drink plenty of water BEFORE you go to sleep than you will, I almost guarantee this, not have a hangover the next day.
