First off, if you don't like these genres then just get out.. really don't want to hear why you think dubstep sucks, etc.

However, if you DO like this shit.. well turn your speakers up and press play. Let's try and keep this updated frequently.

shit I didn't see that.. just searched for "official dubstep" and nothing popped up.

glitch / glitch-hop? it's whatever, when I think of glitch I think of just glitchy music.. whereas glitch-hop more as hip-hop vs. glitch.

Quick question, do you have to scour SoundCloud furiously to find good music, or is it pretty easy to come across good songs on there? I've tried looking for tunes on there before and I came up with squat.

I just got a Novation Launchpad a few days ago, just started working in Ableton.. it's definitely not something you learn overnight, but I've been messing around a lot lately trying to get better.. tutorial vids help a lot..

pretty soon I'm gonna cop a zero SL MKII to go with it, to have a set up something like this:



I'm really trying to use it as a monome emulator.. "nonome".. heres some MLR in action


and for those who don't know what a monome is..

I love dubstep don't get me wrong, and have been listening to it for quite some time, but I've just kind of got tired listening to it, except for live shows (going to see excision and downlink on thurs). These however, don't get old, and are 10x more fun to dance to.

just start following your favorite artists. But looking at who there following isn't always legit because some people follow like 1000 people.

but i just have my favorite artists followed so i see everything they favorite, upload or comment on. Then I always have a decent list of music to check everyday.

Well you're missing out because it is clearly the best form of electronic music.



Dubstep is growing on me, I posted this mix somewhere a couple weeks ago because it was the first Dubstep mix that I heard and really liked. A lot of Dubstep seems to be missing that reggae influence that makes Drum & Bass so good, but this mix has it and is dope. I also like a couple Stenchman sets and Coki and Pinch but a lot of Dubstep is really bad, its taking me a while to find DJ's I actually like.

no not so much drums.  you can get those down in a snap.  but yeah it's more of trying to get a clean wobble or some new sound.  and I also don't have many vst's for fruity loops so i'm limited to the sounds i have
