i mean i hate when people are smashing on bdog and henrik when there dressing like thugs, because there not completly serious the entire time. Plus they can actually slay it, there some of the best skiers in the scene. This dude however ACTUALLY thinks hes a thug, which henrik and bdog dont think, they just like baggy close im guessing, and at least they actually listen to good gangster rap not this bullshit. Don't get butthurt that nobody likes this fool. I love the gangster kind of skiing, as i said before i love bdog and henrik. Phil is actually my favorite skier. But from that video you can judge that guy, and his bio? wtfuck? His pictures? he had a fucking grill on.. I mean cmaaan honestly. Ive seen wana be white gangsters and thats one of them for sure. I think a lot of people are saying this because they like first-drop, (which i dont) but still people can bitch about a representive of a company if he is this much of a joke. to be honest, this does the opposite of what they want advertising to do. at first i was just confused/annoyed that people thought there was anything original to this guy, now after i look at his bio...i can honestly say it has repelled me from first drop. just the fact that they feel the need to mention "dont judge a book by its cover" shows they know this guy does not present an entirely positive image for the company, they readily assume people will judge this guy prematurely in a negative way, and shows they know there is something off about him.

you know why people wear suits to work? to convey a respectful, professional image. i believe it when they say this guy is extremely respectful, but that doesnt cut it. either this guy needs to get his act together, or first drop needs to lay down the law to an extent. expressing yourself is cool to an extent, but when you are on someone else's payroll, you need to present yourself professionally. you DO NOT under ANY circumstances even insinuate that you partake in any type of drug usage, let alone the distribution of said drug.. at this point, it makes first drop look like a joke. if they want to be taken seriously AT ALL they need to get their act together, let go of the pathetic idea that everyone lives under the same morals they do, and wake the fuck up to the real world. if they follow this path, then they will surely be out of business very soon. seriously, i almost think they are trying to run themselves into the ground. this makes me think a bunch of 14 year olds are running the company.

you have absolutely no idea how connected tanner hall is to drug usage, you just know what other kids say and make that assumption based upon how he acts/looks.

the suit wearing comment was mainly directed towards the corporate side of the industry, where a professional image must be presented in order to achieve any level of respect or be taken seriously to an extent.
you're fucking stupid if you think that a professional image has no place in action sports, just purely fucking retarded. i can tell you i sure as shit will never buy from a company that A) openly allows the expressions of their athletes illicit activities to be shared via the companies website
and B) promotes an unprofessional image

Well i enjoy his skiing, hes got a great style, but i really can't take his bio or any of his pictures seriously. Weighing coke? Showing off your grill? Definitely a dope style that he's taken wayy too far for me personally.

To the rest of it: Congradulations you've got a stick up your ass about stuff that doesn't matter. I can honestly say that I have never met a skier, snowboarder, or skateboarder that has taken anything you listed into account when getting new outerwear/gear (and having lived in PA, VT, OR, and UT i've met quite a few of these people). Because plain and simple, no one fucking cares. Uh-oh, you're not buying a first drop suit, because someone on their team made a joke that doesn't live up to your moral standards!
Oh well, I doubt they care, because a shit ton of kids on this site that don't care about coke jokes will buy one because they look cool, and LJ wears one.

^ Yes, we are all amazed that B is still alive. It's truly a miracle.

As expected B has "stirred the pot" a little here on NS. We appreciate all the comments and opinions of fellow NS'ers. What I can tell you from knowing B most of his life is that he is a good, caring person. B in many ways is similar to a lot of skiers, he just takes it a little further.

As newschool skiers, some of us wear unusual clothing (large, baggy, tall, bright, skinny, hesh, ninja, etc), clothing to create an identity for ourselves that sets us apart from the rest of society. This is part of the reason why gapers wear short, tight outerwear and a lot of GOOD, true, core, skiers wear bigger, baggier outerwear- to set us apart (and it looks better of course!).

B does not take himself seriously, and likes to poke a little fun at society by taking it another step further- he dresses in a way that most people consider "thug" or "gangsta wannabe". His appearance is a sort of test, anyone who doesn't judge him immediately based on what he wears can be given a chance to slip through his filter and get to actually know B based on his personality, not solely on his initial appearance.

If you begin making assumptions about people based on appearance, you will probably miss out on getting to know a lot of great, interesting people in your lifetime. People will also probably pick up on your level of superficiality and you will have more negative interactions than someone who has a more open, positive mind.

If you see B on the hill, do yourself a favor and give the guy a chance. I bet you'll find him to be the friendliest, funniest skier in the park.
