Snowboarding Companies and Skiing

Its cool how Burton is now sponsoring skiers for clothing and shit like that...someone told me that volcom is working on the design of a ski,and other snowboard companies are now also working on designing skis to,i think it would be cool...but thats just me

anon seems to have a large presence this year, Dash being on them, and i know they were onea the sponsors for the Jibfest tour..never seen their goggles for sale though in a ski shop

well thats a pile of shit...lots of them think its just funny to wreck on skiers cuz their part of a group of people who are 'the shit'. If they say skiers dont have style then they dont know what style is...thats how i think of it

almost all of the boarders at my mountain were really chill and hung out with the skiers and stuff. It's ridiculous for skiers and boarders to be seperate. Other than a few minor differences, we're both out there doing the same thing. Plus, snowboarders are usually really fun.

it all depends on how good you are, skiers that aren't so good at tricks or don't have good air sense don't have alot of style but its the same with snowboarder, some flail like mother fuckers. Its just more simple with your feet strapped to one thing oppose to seperated.

fucking burton is the worst company ever. they are the only boards that my friends and have broken or heard of being broken. i got some burton gloves and there falling apart for no reason, never even use tow ropes. Fuck burton.

The summit daily news is hardly a reliable news source. Try Transworld Snowboarding Business. Jake Burton was on the cover, and it said 'Snowboarding's Most Powerful'. Burton is the number one snowboarding company in the world. Not neccasarily the best, but the biggest. They didn't lose money.

i was talking to the burton rep and anon and burton aren't sponsoring skiers, they just realised taht alot of people other tahn borders are wearing there shit so why not expand advertising to other magazines, but they are still gonna stay true to snowboarding, jack burton will never let skiers be sponsored by them, but he doesn't care if they buy his stuff

yeah they dont much anymore, because they know we're good. LIke every year at X the skiing pipe comp beats the shit outta the snowboardin pipe. All my friends that board hate watchin the board pipe comp, yet they love to come over ant watchin the skiing and ask me the names of all the name of all the tricks, and shit.

aceofspades, there are more skiiers in the park with air sense but there are the same amount of snowboarders with air sense. It's because skiing isn't as big and doesn't have as many people shredding the park and the posers of our sport are actually scared to go into the park, where as snowboardings poser actually go in the park and sit around and have no air sense.

You just see more snowboarder that suck because there are just more boarders on the mountain.

funny this came up. we had been talking about this for a while now, the more companies the better in my mind, but alot of the companies mentioned were so anti skiing in the beginning that i find it hard that they truly want to jump on the band wagon, other than for money. now that skiing can prove that it can sustain a independent market other companies want in too. i feel,my opinion, that driving smaller companies to success is the way to force our sport to the top of the genre, it is our sport and we(that means you!!!)should decide what is cool not companies that hated on skiing for so long, peace campbell
