forgot to say an ACTUAL CAMERA.
+1 for Steve.
Keep saving mang, $400 doesn't get you very far...
ya, im not loooking to start a flim production or anything. im really good at taking pictures with the right angles and stuff and contrast but my last camera broke. im looking to get something more legit than that last one too. and something that takes good videos too so i can learn how to edit good before i drop alot on a professional camera. like i dont want to save up and drop 2k on a camera and have it sit around and not get used to its potential. ya know so i figured there would be some kids on here who basically went on a limb and bought a cheap camera but its actually pretty sick on what it does...get wha i mean?

well i already have a tripod. fold up tiny its sick. but can anyone shoot me in the direction of a actual camera for pictures. that has some good video quality too...thats what im tryin to get at. ik you can get some camera with high mp for not like 600 bucks
I have a GoPro too, so yes I know all about its perks, but it is NOT an "ACTUAL CAMERA." It doesn't zoom, no manual focus/white balance/exposure, an awkward fisheye, no real stabilization options, etc; the GoPro is great for lazy filmers - the followcam people who don't really care about aesthetics so much as that they GTS.
The GoPro IMO shoud serve no more than a B-roll camera. Its great as a head cam, great underwater and in funny angles, but should really just compliment another camera which has more options with regard to shot movement and composition.
I've only seen one person use a GoPro well as a sole camera, and he's in film school (I think) in SoCal. The rest are just lazy. While it may be all one can afford, it is still not a good camera to learn ANYTHING with regard to film.
Get learned.
Duh Mr. Literal, but I think it was implied.
And you won't find one, unfortunately, as this thread creator is finding out. His best bet is to save his money and buy something later.
alright. ill prob end up doing that
thanks for the help
