3D using Gopro HD

I've got two kinda major, and probably quite basic, questions that i'd like to be answered,


1. If I mount two GoPros at eye width apart, will they give me the footage that i'll need?

2. I've worked out that in FCP i need the video of each camera, exactly synced, on on v1 one on v2, what filters or effect do i need?


If found this website that kind of helps but would just like a bit more information.

can't really help you because i've never done it before, but i know gopro is making a 3d mount

or ask the guys from USC ski team, they did one with gopro's.

Go Pro is coming out with a 3D helmet cam that is two cameras synced together.
Doesn't really help your case but just thought to share it.

i think you have to adjust the colours to make one cyan and the other red. but idk just kinda guessin

If you want it to be legit 3d you would need a computer to control the distance between the cameras, the ratio is you need 1 foot from center of one lens to center of 2nd lens for every 30 feet away the subject is.

That's just a case that holds 2 gopros. Its not a special camera. So seeing as the op most likely has access to 2 gopros, he should be set if he gets this when it comes out.
