Use a bench-vise and a pair of solid vice-grips.
With the brake housing removed from the binding, the vice grips should be narrow enough to find a point to grab onto the brake.
Once the vice grip is on, put the handle part of them in your bench-vice.
Now the pole technique will work as long as the pole is long enough. Get torque on it and wiggle a bit if need be. Bend them straight, move your vice grips, bend them back to square at 90mm.
Remember to add about 5 mm to your measurements for the radius of the bend.
I did this move with my mojos, which are supposed to be a bitch of a bend.
