i am not sure how much money could be saved with removing bilingual drivers license tests...

its always the same with these guys. they look for a minor thing, something everybody can identify with (yeah, I HAAAAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE, WHOOOOOO), its like when a band comes to a city and says "[insert citys name] rocks!!" and blame immigrants for "what is wrong in this country".

wrong is having a narrow-minded fucker like this in any front office, i tell you that.

   Agreed, it can't save that much money,  besides there is more then just you in the world.  And how is someone going to start a new life in America if they can't write a drivers test because it wasn't in their language, and they dont know the english language because they were unable to drive to their school to learn english,  because they couldn't write the divers test, because it was only available in english.

   Ever think of that one?

thank you, I'm glad someone else on NS has the sense to say something intelligent instead of just RASIST, and RACISM...

America is known as a melting pot, everyone can agree on that, however, one of the many things that bring us together is our common language, (yes i know there is no official national language)

People want a multi-cultural country and there is nothing wrong with that, but when you are against basic assimalation this wont be/become a mulitcultural country, there will be groups of isolated people to the tenth degree, you can see that happening already here in the US

However at the same time I'm sure there are other unpronounced reasons for his suggestion,  then to just save money

how is it racist to ask that you take the drivers license test in english? seeing as how if you cant speak english you cant communicate with the majority of our country...

and since many average-intelligence people cannot speak another language fluently, should they not be allowed to drive should they take a license test in any other country? The United States have no official language, why act like we have one?

in america, MOST OF US speak english.

and no, of course they wouldnt. many of the customers would not be able to communicate with him/her. BUT there are plenty of jobs that that person COULD do, and it would be super helpful if they could drive there. it is discriminatory to not allow people who do not speak english to drive.

I fucking hate it when i am respectfully stating a point and some guy like you comes along and escalates it to insulting me.

mental disabilities are different than a language barrier.

i'm not sure if you're aware but there are programs for disabled citizens to achieve employment, but beings as they're probably worthless employees their employers get some decent tax breaks.

the fact still remains... if you live in america, you should at least speak BROKEN ENGLISH!!!

i dont care what you speak on your own time, but if your trying to get a drivers license or job to be part of AMERICAN society you should at least speak the national language.

yes i live in america. and i live in a college town that hosts a language school every summer, in which the students speak ANYTHING other than english 100% of the time.

alabama is a sick state. its a state that people think sucks, but you have to get off the interstate. mississippi, however sucks even though they still have the confederate battle flag in their state flag.


there current governnor is a cool dude. he helped bring the indycar race to barber motorsports park, the elite and new roadcourse of america.

this might not work as an analogy, but here goes:

say that the school you go to has no official uniform, but most kids like to wear outifts that all look very similar. but since you came from another school, you still like to wear your jeans and tall tees. you show up at school the first day, and while everybody is wearing the same thing, you recall carefully reading your manual and reading that there is no official uniform, but, when you show up at the front doors, the principal won't let you in until you go buy new clothes that match everybody else. but that's funny, because there is no uniform...

so is that fair?

you dont have to understand in this vid. just look how he "talks" with his whole body even though the other dude understands nothing.

just look at this guy (he speaks german). he knows 3 words in english and the other clerk knows nothing about german.

but what? he gets his fucking room. and not an easy deal. he wants it for a longer period (not standard 1 week or so) and for a certain price.
